Their sound evolved from moshable, singalong-inducing hardcore heavily influenced by the coastal straight-edge scenes and skate rock into moving, more mid-tempo heavy indie core of a more intellectual variety.<br /><br /><img style="width: 301px; height: 268px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_5jSUhX3ZQd5__3rDDaaynI0sCEBIViVQLE2lGuiqU_IPr9wVrglH2fg6Ze57eQCp4E9LulR4mwa5vyhgRDlscLrfwE3bsyLkQ6GvPHEGCBZxxWrkjrDt01upVIbX6aHRvo3WSHXeTUE/s320/001.jpg" /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?3igzmk3zjjz">Endpoint - If The Spirits Are Willing (Discography) (1996)</a><br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Qj8eTBATJs4&hl=en&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Qj8eTBATJs4&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="385" height="304"></embed></object>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669086870835259577.post-15203778631526395572009-10-17T22:49:00.000-07:002009-10-17T23:00:07.559-07:00What It Means To Me, It Never Meant To ThemMouthpiece was a New Jersey straight edge hardcore punk band from 1991 to 1996. While they had only three records, they had a huge fan base during their time together. Often seen as one of the last bands of the youth crew era, or the earliest revival of it, their popularity was due in part to the relative scarcity of other bands in New Jersey at the time. However, many fans and critics alike credited them as a rare voice of reason in comparison to the aggressive trends in straight edge bands at the time.<br /><br /><br /><img style="width: 300px; height: 300px;" src="http://revhq.com/images/covers/large/rev147.jpg" /><br /><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?zy0rmgmdqn5"><br />Mouthpiece - Can't Kill What's Inside (Discography) (2009)</a><br /><br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2rFji8D8Etk&hl=en&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2rFji8D8Etk&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="385" height="304"></embed></object><br /><br />-XUnknownnoreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669086870835259577.post-43358955253750855662009-10-17T22:37:00.000-07:002009-10-17T22:48:22.515-07:00End Of The LineGroundwork was a straight-edge hardcore band from Arizona. Although highly influential, their material is very hard to come by. They have released multiple 7"s as well as a split with Unbroken. This band is easily one of, if not the best hardcore band to ever come out of Tucson. I can't stress enough how terrific this record is. This band helped put Tucson/AZ on the map for hardcore. The following includes their entire discography.<br /><br /><br /><img style="width: 303px; height: 404px;" src="http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/115/l_218a130471cabb850ea2ff00aea54fee.jpg" /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?m2lnydzzjiz">Groundwork - Today We Will Not Be Invisible Nor Silent (1994)</a><br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1unM-UtwImM&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1unM-UtwImM&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="385" height="304"></embed></object><br /><br />-XUnknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669086870835259577.post-18322081548413466562009-10-17T21:56:00.000-07:002009-10-17T22:30:39.925-07:00You're Not Free, You Never WereChokehold were a vegan straight edge hardcore band hailing from Hamilton, Ontario in Canada. They first formed in 1990, releasing the “More Than Ever” demo tape in 1991.The band was soon renowned as one of the heaviest in hardcore, drawing ire from some purists for incorporating metal riffage into their sound.<span class="" id="wikiSecondPart"> Their rise in popularity paralleled that of other vegan straight edge bands such as Earth Crisis and hardline bands like Vegan Reich and Raid. While bands that adhered to Hardline were totally opposed to abortion, Chokehold was vehemently pro-choice. </span>Members went on to play in such bands as The Swarm, Brutal Knights, Left For Dead, Haymaker, Our War and Seventy-Eight Days.<br /><br /><a style="" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/5595/chokeholdprisonofhopesl2.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 288px; height: 288px;" src="http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/5595/chokeholdprisonofhopesl2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?zmzxdjmtxdg">Chokehold - Prison Of Hope (1993)</a><br /><br /><br /><img style="width: 287px; height: 285px;" src="http://www.putoutthejams.com/store/images/chokehold_instilled.jpg" /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?mh3wmingm1l">Chokehold - Instilled (1994)</a><br /><br /><br /><img style="width: 296px; height: 297px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKLweIWHsDnUgBf-B-ydX7GLtDW0dkQj2YqbhHYcQFiB_8c3F2Kc6t4RwG_tGTr0c8ELidFRE6CnqRVtxcSgh4FZ-xcP-_4d7ywitOb930jJvQPIrdil-opIbr-3tYsJwCTZ5DKfbpe-Bw/s320/chokehold_content.jpg" /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?gyymtrzzqnz">Chokehold - Content With Dying (1995)</a><br /><br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dSQVenxKOTI&hl=en&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dSQVenxKOTI&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="385" height="304"></embed></object><br />-XUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669086870835259577.post-13948957343854802682009-10-17T21:41:00.000-07:002009-10-17T21:51:24.991-07:00Cast Out For What Sets Me FreeAlright Pete Wentz super fangirls, bet you didn't know about this little gem. From Indianapolis, Indiana; Birthright was a hardcore band dedicated to the vegan straight edge philosophy, as well as to fighting sexism, racism, specieism, homophobia and nationalism. Musically less metal-influenced than many of the bands from the genre, Birthright’s sound is more grounded in straight forward hardcore.<br />This is their second release. The album has been recorded over the past two years and many people have really anticipated this release since his last album, <i>At Home With Owen</i>. New Leaves has the sounds of earlier music of Owen. New Leaves stands out from all of his other albums because instead of songs about failed relationships, Kinsella has written songs on new beginnings. Between this album and his last, Kinsella has become both a husband and father, changing the music styles that reflect his emotions both lyrically and musically. <br /> Songs that got my attention: <i>New Leaves, Good Friends, Bad Habits, Amnesia and Me</i>. I think this maybe one of my favorites of this year’s releases. Some of the songs were once again recorded at his mother’s house. This time around there was a full band including his cousin, Nate Kinsella (<b>Make Believe, Joan of Arc, Birthmark, Decembers Architects</b>). Did your relationship end with someone close? Stop crying and you can<br /><br />A) Try it: <a href="http://myspace.com/mybandowen">http://myspace.com/mybandowen</a> <br />B) Buy it: <a href="http://www.polyvinylrecords.com/store/index.php?id=912">http://www.polyvinylrecords.com/store/index.php?id=912</a><br />C) Watch it: <br /><object width="385" height="304"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YqPAQT1YldI&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YqPAQT1YldI&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="385" height="304"></embed></object><br /><br />CZANGTHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09934852886416629832noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669086870835259577.post-19989255952993074612009-09-18T22:12:00.000-07:002009-09-18T22:18:26.397-07:0016 bit genius<img src="http://i37.tinypic.com/30swpp4.jpg"><br /><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?ojmwwtyzold">Koji Kondo - Super Mario World (Disc 1)</a><br /><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?eynjnbyljnt">Koji Kondo - Super Mario World (Disc 2)</a><br />Koji Kondo is a goddamn genius. These are beautiful pieces of work. Kondo stretched the 16 bit format to its limit with his compositions. Dude has been a legend in the gaming industry and I doubt that status is going anywhere. Here you'll find all of the music from the Super Mario Bros. franchise. There are a lot of sound effects included as well. Definitely worth checking out.nevergettoheavenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02877404609749933545noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669086870835259577.post-72142490534184948742009-09-16T20:23:00.000-07:002009-09-16T20:25:21.795-07:00Our Circle Is Vicious<img width=300 src="http://i28.tinypic.com/2v2taj9.jpg"><br /><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?mm4wnmdmnxz">Rise & Fall - Our Circle is Vicious</a>nevergettoheavenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02877404609749933545noreply@blogger.com0
