Bedroom Mosh

So here are two of the heaviest records of the year. No big deal.

Weekend Nachos - Unforgivable

Iron Age - The Sleeping Eye
- J
P.S. I know we already upped The Sleeping Eye a month or two ago, but here is a VBR version that sounds way better.

Happy birthday, Moz!

Today Steven Patrick Morrissey celebrates his 50th year on this wretched planet. I phrase it as I imagine he would want me to. In celebration, kick back, have a Red Stripe*, listen to Viva Hate and try not to hinder upon an animal's right to be free in any way for one whole day**. We love you, Moz. May you continue to be awesome for another half-century.

Morrissey - Viva Hate

As a bonus, here are some sick videos...

Welcome to the Oxhouse.

Hey guys, it's been a little while, but I just wanted to post a link to our new blog. We have the Twitter, the myspace, and now we have the Oxhouse Blog.  Most of the time we update pretty frequently, but the Oxhouse blog will be for the mad ragers. We're working on a site to get everything linked together soon, as well. New merch and new demos in the works. Also, big thanks to Tr0nzie for shooting us some art. Miss you guys, stay rad.

BTOWN.

Return Of The NGTH

So I finally got the program to compose .rar files and volumes. So to test it out, here is a record I have wanted to post for a while. This record is fucking incredible. When I was around the age of 17, this is practically all I listened to. I still get upset with how under appreciated this album is. Get into it.

Part 1
Part 2

"Accept your mind down your spine and out your behind. Fuck you."

P.S. This is our first .rar post, at least I think it is, so if you have problems opening it, Google "opening .rar files" or leave a comment or some shit. Holler.

Fuck my life.

I've been slacking on the updates. I'll get on that soon. Anyways, I'm getting a Burt Bacharach tattoo. Yeah, that's right. I fucking rule. I hope to be half as talented as that dude someday. Anyways, enjoy this fucked up video. Homeboy knows his shit.

Fuck.

Holy Shit

So I'm sitting here watching Grammy performances and holy shit can black people arrange a song. As you know if you keep up with this blog, Levi Stubbs, leader of the Four Tops, died earlier this year so the Grammy Awards got Smokey Robinson, Jamie Foxx and Ne-Yo to do a Four Tops medley with its remaining members. They do a minor shift at the end of "I Can't Help Myself" at the very end. What the fuck?! So sick.

Grace Me With Your Cold Shoulder

Man, when I actually pay attention to what's going on in contemporary music I always find some gem that I really get into. This record is one of those gems. This girl is a year younger than me and she has already had a number one record and more importantly, was hand picked by Burt Bacharach to sing a rendition of his song "Baby It's You" with him accompanying on piano. What the fuck. This girl has a great voice and there is some great fucking production on this record. There is definitely some LA era Motown influence in these songs. Any record that makes use of the Fender Rhodes will always get a little love from your boy. So sick. Anyways, enjoy.

Try it.
Buy it.

P.S.

Here's her video for Chasing Pavements. You might have heard this song before. The horn/string swell in the chorus is so sick.
